About Sharabutdin Magomedov

Sharabutdin "Shara Bullet" Magomedov (born May 16, 1994) is a Russian professional mixed martial artist from Makhachkala, Dagestan. An ethnic Avar, Magomedov has established himself as one of the most exciting and unorthodox strikers in the UFC Middleweight division with a professional record of 17-1.

Before transitioning to MMA, Magomedov had a decorated career in Muay Thai (18-2 record) and Lethwei, where he became Eurasia Lethwei Champion. He holds the rank of International Master of Sport in Lethwei, Master of Sport in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, and Master of Sport Candidate in Combat Sambo. Despite suffering a severe eye injury in Thailand that left him blind in one eye, Magomedov persevered and cites former UFC champion Michael Bisping — who also fought and won a title with one functioning eye — as a pivotal inspiration.

Magomedov made his UFC debut in October 2023 and quickly became a fan favorite with his creative striking arsenal including spinning backfists, flying knees, and unorthodox combinations. He suffered his first professional loss to Michael Page in February 2025 but has since rebounded with wins over Marc-André Barriault and Michel Pereira.
